IN ADDITION
- Packages, baggage, and accessories must be placed where they will not interfere with vehicle operation or other passengers.
- Baby strollers, shopping carts etc. must fold up.
- Riders are responsible for loading/unloading bicycles.
- Riders are responsible for securing child passengers in their own child restraining system. (Gopher is not able to provide car seats. Riders must supply and install their own.)
FARES & PAYMENT
- When applicable, passengers are required to pay the proper fare for all transportation through a card or check, or a pre-arranged payment process.
- Drivers can take all major credit and debit cards or personal checks in the vehicle.
- Accounts can be set up for riders who can only pay with cash or EBT cash, and/or are interested in setting up recurring rides and want to limit the transactions.
RIDE CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY
- Cancellations must be made 2 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time by calling Gopher’s office at 1-855-467-4375 or emailing rides@gophervt.org. Any trip cancelled less than 2 hours prior to the scheduled pick up time is considered and treated/recorded as a “no-show”.
- The vehicle will wait up to 10 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time for a rider, after which time it will leave and record a no-show.
- Paying customers with a recorded “no-show” are subject to an administrative/booking fee, that must be paid before booking future trips with us. See the full policy.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I “NO-SHOW”?
- Once a rider has been categorized as a no-show, they will be flagged in the system. A pattern of no-shows is generally defined as 2 or more missed rides within a 3 month period. Gopher is happy to work with riders to help eliminate future no-shows, which may result in suspension of service for a period of time or permanently.
It is Gopher’s pleasure to give you a ride. In return we expect you to follow our Rider Policies.
Printed rider policies are also available in the vehicle. If you have questions or concerns about our policies, contact us at rides@gophervt.org or 855-467-4375.
